Baton Rouge Small Business Gift Guide

Updated: 5 days ago

As the holiday season approaches, there’s no better time to embrace the spirit of community and connection. As a proud local business owner, I’m beyond excited to share my commitment to supporting the small businesses that make our neighborhoods shine.

This year, let’s shift our focus from just giving presents to giving back—by uplifting the dreams and hard work of the entrepreneurs who pour their hearts into our local community.

I’m thrilled to unveil a curated list of some of my absolute favorite hidden gems—the small businesses that not only make our area unique, but also play a vital role in keeping our community vibrant. So, let’s make this holiday season even more meaningful by supporting the people and places that help our hometown thrive.

Together, we can make a big impact, one thoughtful purchase at a time.

I personally have been working with Kylee to get my eating back on track this year. I'm actually eating more and still losing weight! Kylee's personalized approach has helped me to understand which foods work for me and why. No foods are "off limits" and her program is the "last diet" you will ever need. Give the gift of nutrition this season.

With a love for high end chocolate, this mother/daughter duo launched Chocolate Bijoux. They create the most stunning handcrafted chocolate creations for the person in your life with a major sweet tooth!

Have you checked out their new location?! Not only can you get delicious sweet treats, but they now serve breakfast, lunch, and delicious take and bake options.

This mother/daughter duo specializes in showstopping cheese boards. They just opened up their brick and mortar shop on Perkins. Be sure to check them out for your holiday party needs!

For the wellness enthusiast in your life, check out Decision Critical. They offer one time or subscription IV hydration services as well as B12 injections in addition to their personalized nursing services.

Red Stick Reads is Baton Rouge’s locally owned bookshop. Instead of giving your money to Amazon, contact Tere and James! Drop in to see their adorable brick and mortar shop to purchase books and puzzles, plus they can order any book on your gift list. I’ve already placed my order :)

Kelsey is out of New Orleans, but I absolutely ADORE her shop. With fringe jackets, sparkly head wraps, and sequin-sleeved t-shirts, you will definitely find something for that person who loves to stand out!

Not only does Tia have gorgeous clothes and accessories, she can personalize anything on your gift list with her Design Bar.

Not only do they have beautiful, fair trade gifts, The Hope Shop provides educational and economic resources to their makers to empower remote communities to rise above poverty. I love supporting companies with a mission!

Iverstine Farms has the gift of meat! Try their Butcher Bundles as a one time or subscription gift. You get so much bang for your buck on these.

Gift your loved one a photo session with the amazingly talented Jordan. All of my website and Instagram photos are done by her. Isn't she talented?!

I know what you're thinking, lighting as a gift? YES! Bridget will help your friends and family GET LIT this holiday season. Purchase a gift certificate to brighten up someone’s Christmas.

Every Louisiana girl deserves some Mimosa! This Louisiana themed jewelry can be found at their adorable Mid City storefront.

Posh Pop was founded by two young sisters and their mom in their very own kitchen! With seasonal flavors and a large variety of their own creations, Posh Pop let’s you know What’s Poppin! Make sure to check out their new adorable storefront on Perkins. My favorite flavor was the Cajun Critter!

Check out the teaching kitchen at Red Stick Spice with a cooking class. Don’t forget to purchase all of your ingredients to recreate the meal you learned in the class. Need a gift for the chef in your life? They've got an entire retail section with all the kitchen essentials.

I recently treated myself to one of Sweet Baton Rouge’s cozy corded sweatshirts and it is amazing! Order online or check out their store front in the Electric Depot.

Tavia Botanicals owner Kaye provides plant-based bath and cleaning products with a mission. Each sale contributes to The Risen Queen Foundation, which serves women and children who are survivors of domestic violence.

For the fashionista in your life, check out Time Warp Boutique. Find one of a kind vintage clothing and accessories. Seriously my go-to place for finding unique, head turning outfits for every occasion. The staff is beyond knowledgeable and LOVE to style their customers.

This premier mobile bartending service would be the perfect addition to any holiday gathering. Need a gift for the mixologist in your life? Get tickets to their next “Mixology Master Class”.

Kristen is a trauma therapist who launched her own line of self care products and hosts "signature scent" workshops where patrons create their own perfumes.

Still haven’t found the perfect gift? Try a gift card or gift certificate from any of Baton Rouge’s amazing restaurants and locally owned coffee shops. You can’t go wrong with a great cup of coffee and a tasty meal. Email me for some recommendations sara@socoorganizers.com
